Patchouli and Edea, Day 2

[There's a lull during the day and Edea will approach the grumpy librarian when it looks like she's alone.]

I wanted to ask you something about what happened today. Is that alright?

[ raising her eyebrows ] How may I assist?

[edealistical]

[Edea will nod a little bit.]

You're from the same place as the... long-lived prince, right? A world where things like that are possible. There's just something I wanted to know about her...

[And Edea will discreetly lead Patchouli back to her room!]

[sunshade]

Of course. I am no historian, but a librarian isn't ignorant on these matters...

[ she'll follow Edea at an even pace, keeping her expression deceptively calm ]

[edealistical]

[The door will be closed.]

Actually, I had a nice talk with your other friend just now. Aya.

[She seems serious.]

Something's going on... that I don't understand.

[sunshade]

[ almost immediately, she grimaces ] Lord...what has that abhorrent woman done now?

[edealistical]

She was... helpful, actually. Discreet, though incredibly mercenary.

Right after Yuya blew up - that wasn't any of us, right? - she said she got something under her door. It was a picture of me ripped to shreds.

[sunshade]

[ aya being helpful. that, um. wow, amazing. ]

...no, I certainly didn't kill him. I'm not sure about the others, but I'd like to think we'd coordinate if one of us came in contact with the detonator. [ sigh ]

Someone suspects you, then. I wonder why it was ripped to shreds. Do you suppose it's a threat?

[edealistical]

There was another picture.

I went to some... lengths to convince her to tell me - Aya thinks I have a partner, and now I'm her spy or something - but in the end...

She said it was Levi.

I was expecting it to be one of you.

[sunshade]

Another picture? Of who, Levi?

[ .... ] God, what is that man even planning.

[edealistical]

I can't make heads or tails of it.

To be honest, you and Royce are probably the most intelligent ones out of all of us... I don't know if you have any ideas.

Levi is accusing someone we know is innocent, and he'll almost certainly be executed. Yuya was killed by one of the guests, and now this. We have control of the situation still, I think, but I'm getting uncomfortable with all of these strange factors that keep popping up.

[sunshade]

Hmmm...can you relate your conversation with Aya to me as in full as possible? Obviously I'm not expecting word for word, but she's crafty with her phrasing. Comes with being a journalist, I suppose.

[ another pause ] I do believe someone mentioned that he could claim to be the detective in order to receive protection, but it's a risky move. Sure, the medics would certainly protect him the first night, but what about the next? And the next after that? His whole cover will be blown if we or our mystery detonator kill Legion.

[edealistical]

Er...

[Edea will think back to an hour or so ago...]

She approached me out of the blue. I was looking for a 'key' in earnest - something that might have been used to set off the bomb. I thought it'd be useful to see.

She brought me somewhere away from the others and asked if there was anything I knew about Yuya or his death - or if I had anything to say about why she was talking to me in private. ...I thought someone had sent her a note accusing me of being a VIP at that point, but I deflected, and she pressed on. She kept insinuating I had a special role, saying things like, 'I have information that concerns you, but I don't know if you're trustworthy.' She pressed for information, seeming to imply that she would only tell me if I could give her some information in return.

Eventually, I said I had no role with a show of reluctance, and she asked if anyone had a grudge against me. ...Then she showed me the picture.
